The Princess And The Frog

Disney’s The Princess And The Frog signals a return to the 2-D animation of the Nineties. With Beauty And The Beast, Aladdin and The Little Mermaid as its predecessors, The Princess And The Frog had some stiff competition, but with a strong storyline (albeit a formulaic one) and colorful characters, The Princess And The Frog delivers. With this newest animated adventure, Disney also introduced its first African-American leading lady and the story does a nice job of illuminating the bayous of New Orleans. All in all, The Princess And The Frog is a sweet, enjoyable addition that’s destined to become another Disney classic–if not another heavily-merchandised one.
