Here’s a song writen by one of my very close friend. I thought it was lovely and wanted to share it with everyone.
Laying on my bed wishing that you were here,
Staring at the ceiling it all becomes clear,
I have never felt this way ever before,
I just want to hold on to you more and more.
Every day I fall more in love with you,
Every single word of this is so true,
I can’t stand the thought of this feeling gone,
To take it away from would be wrong.
You are,
The girl that I want
And you are,
The girl that I need
You’re the girl I can never keep my mind off of
Yes my baby you are,
You’re the one.
I can always count on you,
To put a smile on my face when I’m feeling blue,
You’re the most beautiful thing I have seen,
You’ll never know how much you mean to me.
You are,
The girl that I want
And you are,
The girl that I need
You’re the girl I can never keep my mind off of
I don’t care what anyone else says.
You’re the one.

You’d have to be living under a rock to have missed the media storm surrounding Kanye West after he rudely interrupted Taylor Swift‘s acceptance speech for Best Female Video at the MTV Video Awards. Taylor barely got a word out before Kanye snatched the mic and declared Beyonce’s Single Ladies to be one of the best videos of all time. Sure, it’s a great video–that’s why it won for a later category! When Beyonce’s name was announced, she called Taylor up to the stage to finally give her speech.
Kanye has apologized IN ALL CAPS on his blog and made a heartfelt appearance on the Jay Leno Show, but if this outburst is any indication, Kanye needs a vacation from himself.

You probably know Charlyne Yi from her roles in Knocked Up and Semi-Pro but did you know she wrote, produced and acted in her new movie, Paper Heart? Paper Heart is the semi-fictional story of a girl looking for love–does it really exist? She travels across the country talking to professors, writers and other experts on the Big L and falls in love with her co-star in the process.
Charlyne also plays in a couple indie bands. She shares guitar and vocal duties with her buddy and fellow actor Paul Rust in The Glass Beef and rocks out solo in Chandelier Teeth.

Secret Agent 23 Skidoo may be the longest name for a hip hop act I’ve ever heard and it’s certainly one of the most confusing. “23 Skidoo” was a popular phrase from the 1920′s that meant getting out while the getting’s good, but Secret Agent 23 Skidoo writes positive songs about accepting the harder parts of life, so why they’d want to advocate bailing when times get tough is beyond me.
Secret Agent 23 Skidoo may be a mouthful, but their debut album is called simply “Easy.” If you’re into the relaxing summertime jams of Bob Marley and like the inoffensive lyrics and whimsy of Will Smith, you’ll probably dig this record. It’s something you and your parents can listen to together.
Check out the CD review of Easy by Secret Agent 23 Skidoo on Kidzworld.

As you may have learned from recent news on celebs, Michael Jackson passed away recently. Not only was the man a great dancer and singer (see his celebrities bios), but he was also a gamer with good taste.
Back when the performer was facing money troubles, Julien Auctions were preparing to sell off much of Jackson’s possessions.
The King of Pop’s arcade collection took up 60 pages of the catalogue and included quality games like Alpine Racer and Guitar Freaks.
The auction was cancelled a long time ago, but a window into his world was forever opened. Read more about MJ on our safe kids website.

Hey Twilight fans,
Have you seen Bella lately? It looks like Kristen Stewart has chopped off those long locks to play the famous rocker, Joan Jett in a new bio-pic called The Runaways. I wonder what Edward would think of her new haircut!

Kristen Stewart is currently filming The Runaways in L.A. with Dakota Fanning and the movie is due out in 2010. Off set, Kristen Stewart is known for being reserved, but Joan Jett was nothing but loud, in-your-face rocker girl energy. Do you think Stewart can channel her inner punk or will she awkwardly stumble through the Jett role the way she stuttered through her acceptance speech at the MTV Movie Awards? I, for one, have faith in Stewart. She tapped into a dark grittiness in Twilight and her performance as a disillusioned 20-something in the indie flick Adventureland showed her impressive acting range. Stewart has a rare magnetism on screen and it’s impossible to take your eyes off her–she’s going to rock this role and if not, at least she leaves with a wicked haircut.

Guess what? You don’t have to wait A Little Bit Longer for the new Jonas Brothers album, because it’s out now!
Jonas Brothers :: A Little Bit Longer
With the Jonas boys, Miley Cyrus, and a bunch of rising tween stars like Demi Lovato and Selena Gomez, it looks like tween pop-rock is the most popular (and profitable) segment of the music industry today. If Miley is Queen, the Jonas Brothers are King, and their new album a decree to the whole kingdom that they rock. Die hard fans already love this album
